El Behery, Fronk and Ah Mook Sang Awarded Final Weekly Honors of 2024

Offensive Player of the Week 
Laila El Behery, UC Irvine | Senior • Forward • Cairo, Egypt 
  • 8136Laila El Behery boasts The Big West Offensive Player of the Week honor for the first time this season after an impressive performance at UC Riverside. Overall, this is the fourth weekly distinction of El Behery's career (Sept. 4, 2023 | Sept. 20, Oct. 4 2021).  

  • The senior forward scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 decision at UCR to cap off the 2024 campaign. El Behery leads the team in tallies (6) and points (13).    

  • With the win, UCI clinched a spot in the upcoming 2024 Big West Women's Soccer Championship and will play a first-round matchup at Anteater Stadium and host fifth seeded Cal State Bakersfield on Sunday at 6 p.m.

Defensive Player of the Week 
Ginny Fronk, UC San Diego | Sophomore • Goalkeeper • Cranberry Township, Pa. 
  • 8138UC San Diego sees Ginny Fronk collect the first Big West Defensive Player of the Week award for the goalkeeper's performance against Cal Poly. This is the first weekly distinction of Funk's career.     

  • The Tritons took home their first conference win of the season at home in shutout fashion over the Mustangs (2-0). Overall, it is the third shutout victory for UCSD.  

  • Fronk found a new career-high in saves with 14 stops on the night. The new mark doubled the netminder's previous high (7).

Freshman of the Week 
Laule'a Ah Mook Sang, Hawai'i | Defender • Honolulu O'ahu •  
  • 25388Laule'a Ah Mook Sang has earned The Big West Freshman of the Week honor for the first time of the defender's career.   

  • Ah Mook Sang played an instrumental part helping UH's backline secure its sixth shutout of the 2024 season.  The Honolulu, O'ahu native was one of only two UH players to notch a full 90 minutes on the pitch versus Long Beach State.  

  • Hawai'i has captured the 2024 Big West Women's Soccer regular season championship title and will host the upcoming championship as the No. 1 seed beginning with the semifinals scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 7 with a TBD start time.
