Luka Krstic helped orchestrate UC Irvine to a perfect 4-0 showing at the Gary Troyer Invitational with two Top 20 victories and a Top 5 triumph to take home The Big West Men's Water Polo Player of the Week award. The award is the third weekly distinction of the junior's career and second this season (Oct. 25, 2023, Sept. 11, 2024).

During the first game against No. 20 Air Force, the attacker went a flawless 4-4 and added an assist in the 24-11 win, UCI's highest offensive output of 2024. In the second contest against Redlands, Krstic contributed three points (two goals and one assist) in the 15-5 win.

The Belgrade, Serbia native notched a game-high seven scores against No. 4 Pepperdine and became the first Anteater to find the back of the cage seven times since 2022 and the first 'Eater to notch 10 points since 2021. UCI reigned triumphant over the No. 4 ranked Waves. Krstic concluded the week with a lone assist versus Pomona-Pitzer.

Overall, the attacker produced a stat line of 13 goals, 0.765 shooting clip, six assists, three sprint wins (3-0), one exclusion committed, one drawn exclusion, one field block, and one steal on the week. Kristic sits atop UCI in points (49) and goals (31).
