Offensive Player of the Week 
Caylen Alexander, Hawai'i | Junior • Outside Hitter • Alpharetta, Ga.
  • After missing last Saturday’s contest, Caylen Alexander made an emphatic return to action for Hawai’i to earn a third Big West Offensive Player of the Week nod for the season.  

  • The junior put away 42 kills — averaging 5.25 per set — while hitting .405 to lead the Rainbow Wahine to a two-win weekend on the road.   

  • With UH down 2-0 at UC San Diego, Alexander took over by going 17 for 24 without an error over the third and fourth sets to help force a fifth and was on the service line during a 7-0 run that gave UH command of the final set. The outside hitter finished with 24 kills and a .372 hitting percentage.  

  • On Saturday at Long Beach State, Alexander hit a season-best .452 with 18 kills with 10 digs to notch a ninth double-double of the year in the sweep on ESPNU.   

  • Alexander leads The Big West and is third in the country while averaging 5.00 kills per set. A 5.51 points per set average is good for sixth nationally.

Defensive Player of the Week 
Katerina Georgiadis, Cal State Bakersfield | Graduate Student • Libero • Ontario, Canada
  • Cal State Bakersfield’s Katerina Georgiadis played a huge role in a pair of wins for the Roadrunners to scoop up Big West Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in 2024.  

  • Georgiadis averaged 6.25 digs per set in a pair of 3-1 road wins over Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine.  

  • The graduate student popped up 30 digs with six assists in Friday’s victory against the Titans. Saturday, Georgiadis recorded 20 digs while chipping in seven assists and two aces against the Anteaters. 

  • After the big weekend, the native of Ontario, Canada, bumped up to third in The Big West, averaging 4.11 digs per set.

Setter of the Week 
Kate Lang, Hawai'i | Senior • Setter • Keller, Texas
  • Kate Lang directed the Hawai’i offense in a pair of road wins to earn Big West Setter of the Week honors. The award is the second of the season and 13th career nod for the senior.  

  • Lang distributed 76 assists, averaging 9.50 per set on the week.  

  • After the Rainbow Wahine dropped the first two sets at UC San Diego, Lang directed the UH attack to a .421 hitting percentage (38 kills, 6 errors, 76 attempts) over the next three sets in the reverse sweep. The product of Keller, Texas, finished the match with 40 assists, nine digs, one kill, two block assists and an ace.  

  • Saturday at Long Beach State, Lang posted 36 assists and 15 digs for an eighth double-double of the season in the sweeping victory.   

  • Lang ranks third in the Big West with 9.55 assists per set this season and moved up to fifth in UH program history with 3,822 career assists.

Freshman of the Week 
Learden Lee, Cal State Bakersfield | Freshman • Middle Blocker • Chino Hills, Calif.
  • 8014Cal State Bakersfield’s Learden Lee was a key cog in a pair of road wins to earn a first career nod as Big West Freshman of the Week. 

  • Lee, a middle blocker from Chino, Calif., hit .400 for the week whole averaging 2.25 kills per set in Roadrunners’ wins at Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine.

  • Lee recorded nine kills in both matches while adding two blocks and two digs on Saturday against the Anteaters. The previous night, Lee hit a season-best .667 with just one error on 12 swings, resulting in nine kills.
