Games featuring other Big West players with preseason accolades include a Thursday, January 23 matchup between highly touted UCSB graduate transfer Stephan Swenson and UC San Diego senior swingman Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones. The clash between the No. 2 (UCSB) and No. 3 (UCSD) teams in the preseason poll tips off at 7 p.m. from UCSD’s LionTree Arena. UC Irvine senior guard Justin Hohn and the top-rated Anteaters host the conference’s leading returning scorer, UC Davis senior guard TY Johnson, in a 1 p.m. game on Saturday, February 1 at Bren Events Center.
The package concludes with two key women’s games featuring returning Big West Player of the Year, UC Irvine senior guard Déja Lee.
