Long Beach State freshman attacker Robert Lopez Duart scored 18 goals in four contests en route to earning the inaugural men's water polo weekly award. Long Beach State is 3-1 to start the season with Lopez Duart placing inside the top-3 in the teams points category. This is Lopez Duart's first career Big West Player of the Week honor.

The first-year player compiled six goals against Pomona-Pitzer and also secured five scores against the competition of No. 20 Navy and Concordia-Irvine.
- Lopez Duart's standout performance at the Triton Invitational came against No. 4 Stanford when the Barcelona native scored seven times (3 goals 1st quarter | 4 goals 2nd quarter) in the Beach's 12-10 upset victory over the Cardinal.
