UC Davis senior utility Aleix Aznar Beltran stuffed the stat sheet this week to earn Big West Water Polo Player of the Week. Aznar Beltran is a first-time Big West honoree.

On Friday, the Barcelona native posted a three-point performance (1 goal, 1 assist) against top-ranked Cal in a narrow, 9-11, defeat. On the defensive side, Aznar Beltran recorded three steals and two field blocks in the setback against the Bears. In the following matchup, Aznar Beltran produced a hat trick and three assists in a decisive 18-10 road victory versus No. 20 Santa Clara.
- Overall, the senior utility accumulated four goals, five assists, three steals, four field blocks, and an exclusion draw to cap off the weekend for UC Davis. The Aggies went 1-2 on the week with losses against the top two teams in the nation but picked up a nationally ranked win after besting No. 20 Santa Clara this past Saturday.
