UC Davis sophomore forward Cason Goodman scored two goals, one in each match of the opening weekend, to help the Aggies to a 2-0 record at the Wolstein Classic against Dayton and Ohio State to start the 2023 season.

In the 32nd minute against Dayton, the sophomore forward found the back of the net for the first goal of the game and season, and eventually proved to be the game-winner. The Aggies prevailed over the Flyers by a final score of 2-0.
- The Santa Barbara, Calif. product scored the second game-winning goal of the weekend against Ohio State. With the score tied 1-1, Goodman ran down a long ball from UC Davis goalie Charles Janssen and put it away to give the Aggies the lead.

With two game-winning goals, Goodman was named to the Wolstein Classic All-Tournament Team.
