Amelia Honer, UC Santa Barbara  Women's Tennis Player of the Week  Sophomore • Newton, Pa.

• UC Santa Barbara's Amelia Honer went 2-0 in the No. 1 singles slot to earn The Big West Women's Tennis Player of the Week award. It is the second straight week that Honer has won the weekly honor, totalling the season tally to four and career count to six. 

• On Friday against Oklahoma State, Honer defeated 107th-ranked Alana Wolfsburg 7-6(4), 6-1 in No. 1 singles. The sophomore, with teammate Kira Reuter, downed Alana Wolfberg and Sofia Rojas 6-1. 

• On Sunday against Loyola Marymount, the Newton, Pa. product triumphed over Veronika Miroshniche 7-6 (5), 6-4. 

• Honer is currently ranked No. 40 in singles and, alongside teammate Kira Reuter, ranked No. 21 in doubles in the latest ITA Rankings.
