HENDERSON, Nev. - The Big West is issuing a public reprimand to UC Irvine women’s basketball Associate Head Coach Cecilia Russell-Nava as a result of a social media post by Coach Russell-Nava following UC Irvine’s game against CSU Bakersfield on March 8, 2023. The post publicly criticized the performance of the game’s officials in violation of both The Big West Sportsmanship and Civility Policy and women’s basketball rule 7.15.4.
