Performance in Two Conference Wins Nets Homolkova of Hawai'i Weekly Distinction

30952• Nikola Homolkova played a key role in two conference wins for Hawai'i to earn The Big West Women's Tennis Player of the Week award. Homolkova is a first-time weekly honoree. 

• The sophomore got wins in singles and doubles in Thursday's 5-2 win over CSUN. Homolkova, with partner Ana Vilcek, took down the Matador pair of Vito Solis Urdiales and Jacqueline O'Neill 6-3 in No. 2 doubles. In No. 2 singles, Homolkova downed Sasha Turchak 6-7 (4), 7-5, 7-6(6).

• Homolkova was the clinching point in Sunday's 4-3 win over UC Santa Barbara. In No. 2 doubles, Homolkova won the final five games in the third set to pull away from Camille Kiss, 6-4, 5-7, 6-2. 

• The Rainbow Wahine are 7-6 on the year and 5-1 in conference play this season.
