• CSUN's Yuliia Zhytelna won a singles match, leading CSUN to the team to earn The Big West Women's Tennis Player of the Week award. Zhytelna is a first-time weekly honoree.
• On Saturday, Zhytelna defeated Santa Clara's Velizara Fileva in No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-3. The sophomore paired with Sasha Turchak and was up 3-1 at No. 2 doubles, before the dual went unfinished.
• It was the third consecutive singles win for the Kiev, Ukraine native.
• As a team, CSUN defeated Santa Clara 4-2, winning singles No. 2, 3, 4, 6.
