Bethea and Campbell-Pua of Hawai'i Sweep Softball Weekly Honors

30508• Hawai'i pitcher Key-annah Campbell-Pua started two games, including a no-hitter, and fired 13.0 innings with nine strikeouts to earn The Big West Softball Pitcher of the Week recognition. Campbell-Pua is a first-time weekly honoree. 

• The freshman had a 0.54 ERA and earned two wins inside the circle to lead Hawai'i to a 4-1 weekend. 

• Campbell-Pua tossed six innings and struck out three in Friday's 12-2 six-inning rout at UNLV.

• The Nipomo, Calif. native held Montana to no hits in Sunday's 7-0 win, facing the minimum number of 21 batters thanks to two double plays turned by the Rainbow Wahine defense, while striking out nine in the process. 

• Campbell-Pua is currently 3-1 with a 2.24 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 25.0 innings to start the season. Hawai'i is 7-4 through 11 games.

30506• Hawai'i utility player Mya'Liah Bethea hit .471 (8-for-17) with an on-base percentage of .526 to earn The Big West Field Player of the Week honor. The junior compiled eight hits, eight RBI, seven runs and three home runs on the week. 

• Bethea hit two home runs, going 3-for-4 with two runs and four RBI, in Friday's 12-2 victory at UNLV. 

• The Las Vegas, Nev. product went 2-for-4 with three runs in a 14-6 win against CSU Bakersfield on Saturday. 

• The junior hit 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and a run as Hawai'i no-hit Montana 7-0. 

• Bethea is batting .382 (13-of-34) with six home runs on the season so far. Hawai'i is 7-4 through 11 games.
