- Dimitrios Mouchlias averaged a team-best 4.83 kills per set to lead unanimous No. 1 Hawai’i (9-0) to a sweep (both 3-0) of its two-match series at No. 8 Stanford and earn a third career Big West Offensive Player of the Week award.
- Mouchlias hit .462 with 29 kills against only five attack errors on 52 attempts, while also providing 1.50 blocks and 1.00 digs per set.
- The fourth-year junior opposite paced the Rainbow Warriors in kills both nights, including a match- and season-high 17 on Saturday at a .517 (17-2-29) clip to go alongside four block assists and three digs for a match-best 19.0 total points.
- On Friday night, Mouchlias finished with a team-high 12 kills on .391 (12-3-23) hitting, adding a match-best-tying five block assists, three digs, one ace and a set assist for 15.5 points to lead all players.
- This is a first weekly honor for Mouchlias in this 2023 season. The native of Soufli, Greece, was previously the offensive recipient on Feb. 7 and April 18 of 2022, adding AVCA National Player of the Week distinction following the latter one.

Men's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week

- Guilherme Voss, now a four-time Big West Defensive Player of the Week, averaged a team-best 1.67 blocks per set as unanimous No. 1 Hawai’i (9-0) won all six sets in a weekend series sweep of No. 8 Stanford on the road.
- The fourth-year junior middle blocker compiled a season-high five denials in each contest, with one of them of the solo variety on Saturday, while also excelling offensively and tallying 11 kills on 17 errorless swings (.647).
- In Friday’s initial meeting inside Maples Pavilion, Voss shared the match high in blocks, put down six kills on seven attempts (.857), served one ace and added a dig and a set assist for 9.5 total points.
- The rematch saw Voss collect five more kills on 10 attacks (.500), with another ace, two digs and a set assist for 9.0 points.
- Though this is Voss’ first recognition of 2023, the Brazilian was the defensive award recipient on Feb. 7 and March 14, 2022, as well as on April 12, 2021. Voss was also a league-best three-time Big West Freshman of the Week in 2020.

William D'Arcy, UC Irvine
Men's Volleyball Freshman of the Week

- William D’Arcy aided No. 7 UC Irvine to the sweep of a home-and-home series with No. 6 Pepperdine to earn a second Big West Freshman of the Week distinction already this season.
- The 6-foot-10 opposite hitter had two kills, two set assists, a dig and two block assists for 3.0 total points in Wednesday’s initial meeting, a five-set thriller in Malibu. D’Arcy was part of a season-best UCI block effort that produced 16.0 denials, the most in The Big West this season and No. 4 nationally.
- D’Arcy added a block assist and a set assist in Friday’s rematch inside the Bren Events Center, won by the host Anteaters in four frames.
- A native of Australia, D’Arcy picked up a first Big West weekly honor back on Jan. 16.
