UC Santa Barbara's Amelia Honer Earns Second Consecutive Player of the Week Honor

30381• UC Santa Barbara's Amelia Honer won one singles and one doules match, both at the No. 1 spot, to earn The Big West Women's Tennis Player of the Week award. It is the second straight week that Honer has won the weekly honor, fourth in career. 

• On Saturday, the sophomore defeated No. 15 Auburn's Ariana Arseneault 6-3, 6-1 in No. 1 singles. Honer teamed up with Kira Reuter to take down the 10th-ranked Tiger pair of Arseneault and Carolyn Ansari 6-2 in No. 1 doubles. 

• Honer had two unfinished matches Sunday against No. 19 Arizona State. In No. 1 singles, the Newton, Pa. product took the first set from Giulia Morlet, 6-2, fell in the second set, before the match was abandoned. Honer and Reuter did not finish their No. 1 doubles match against ninth-ranked Sun Devil pair of Patricija Spaka and Domenika Turkovic.
