UC San Diego sophomore defender Brendon Fezzey collects Big West Player of the Week honors after scoring four goals including a game-winner with just 28 seconds remaining in regulation over Big West foe No. 6 UC Davis. Fezzey is a first-time weekly honoree, and the first Triton to achieve the feat this season.

The four goals qualify as a new career-best for the sophomore defender. The Riverside, Calif native's four tallies came off five shots, and a .800 shooting percentage.
- Fezzey's clutch performance helped the No. 13 nationally Tritons push past the No. 6 nationally ranked Aggies and secure the No. 3 seed in the upcoming 2023 Big West Men's Water Polo Championship, hosted by Cannyonview Aquatic Center in La Jolla Calif., on the campus of UC San Diego.

UC San Diego is 14-12 overall (3-2 BW). Fezzey has manufactured 26 goals and six assists thus far in 2023.
