Long Beach State sophomore forward Cherrie Cox collects Big West Offensive Player of the Week acclaim. This is Cox's first Big West Weekly award after earning 2022 Big West Freshman of the Year.

The Torrance native netted two tallies against CSUN during a decisive 3-1 victory. Cox bookended Long Beach State's scoring efforts with goals in the 20th and 59th minutes respectively. This was the first muti-tally performance of Cox's collegiate career.

Cal State Fullerton goalkeeper Mia Ranson helped guide the Titans to an undefeated weekend which saw the team climb to the top of the Big West standings. This is Ranson's fifth career Big West Player of the Week honor, earning Freshman of the Week once (Aug. 22, 2022), and Defensive Player of the Week recognition twice in 2022 (Aug. 29, 2022 | Sept. 5, 2022) and twice more this season (Sept. 11, 2023 | Oct. 9 2023).

Ranson rejected seven shots as the Titans bested the Anteaters for the first time since 2016. The redshirt-sophomore's biggest stop came in the 89th minute when she halted a one-on-one opportunity against an UC Irvine forward.

Ranson leads The Big West with five shutouts, 77 saves and the best save percentage at a .819 clip.

Freshman of the Week

Cal State Fullerton freshman forward/midfielder Aspen Whillock earned Freshman of the Week Accolades. This is Whillock's first-career Big West weekly distinction.

The freshman found the back of the net for the first time in her collegiate career against UC San Diego. Cal State Fullerton took a commanding 1-0 lead following Whillock's tally in the 43rd minute.

Whillock's score proved to be the game-winner as the Titans secured their second straight shutout in Big West play. Cal State Fullerton currently leads the conference with 12 points.
