Four Schools Represented for this Week's Women's Volleyball Weekly Award Winners

Offensive Player of the Week 
Tommi Stockham, Cal Poly | Redshirt Junior • Outside Hitter • Las Vegas, Nev.
  • 8038Cal Poly’s Tommi Stockham was commanding on offense in a pair of five-set victories for the Mustangs to claim Big West Offensive Player of the Week for a second time this season, and a fifth career weekly offensive honor. 

  • The redshirt junior averaged 4.10 kills per set while hitting .322 and adding four aces to tally 46.5 points on the week in road wins over Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine.    

  • Against Cal State Fullerton, Stockham finished with a season-high 24 kills while hitting .400 to go along with 10 digs for the double-double. All four service aces on the week also found the floor against the Titans. The Las Vegas native currently leads the league in total aces with 37. 

  • Saturday at UC Irvine, the outside hitter finished with a team-high 17 kills while adding nine digs. Stockham has registered double digit kills in 10 of the last 12 matches for the Mustangs.

Defensive Player of the Week 
Kameron Bacon, Long Beach State | Junior • Middle Blocker • Fontana, Calif.
  • 8042Kameron Bacon led the Long Beach State defensive effort in a pair of four-set victories away from home to claim Big West Defensive Player of the Week honors. Also earning the nod on Oct. 16, this marks Bacon’s second career weekly award. 

  • The junior averaged 1.88 blocks per set against UC Riverside and UC Davis, while helping hold opponents to a .134 attack percentage.  

  • Bacon kicked off the weekend with a career-high nine total blocks to go along with seven kills while hitting at a .375 clip (7-1-16) against the Highlanders.  

  • The product of Fontana, Calif., posted six blocks at UC Davis while adding four kills helping Long Beach State extend its winning streak to six, the current longest streak in The Big West. 

  • Bacon brought the season blocking average up to 1.23 after the impressive weekend, currently ranked third in the conference.

Setter of the Week 
Kate Lang, Hawai'i | Junior • Setter • Keller, Texas
  • 9Hawai’i setter Kate Lang directed the Rainbow Wahine to two quick sweeps to earn Big West Setter of the Week for the sixth time of the season, and a ninth career award.  

  • Lang posted a team-best 64 assists, or 10.67 assist per set, in the victorious road trip. With Lang as UH’s primary setter the offense was clicking, hitting .367 and .327 at CSUN and Cal State Bakersfield respectively. The ‘Bows have now hit over .300 in the last four-straight matches. 

  • At CSUN, the junior dished out a match-high 37 assists with just one error in 67 attempts for a .552 assist percentage. Lang also contributed seven digs and a kill. 

  • Lang recorded 27 assists with zero errors on 62 attempts for a .435 assist percentage and added two aces in Saturday’s sweep at Cal Sate Bakersfield.  

  • The Keller, Texas, native is leading The Big West and is ranked 31st nationally with 10.39 assists per set this season.

Freshman of the Week 
Nicole Feliciano, UC Irvine | Freshman • Setter • Laguna Niguel, Calif.
  • 8136First year player Nicole Feliciano helped UC Irvine to a 1-1 week that included a Top 25 upset en route to Big West Freshman of the Week. Also a winner back on Sept. 4, this is Feliciano’s second such award.  

  • The freshman setter averaged 10.11 assists, 3.11 digs and 1.11 kills per set as the Anteaters played UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly from Crawford Gym. 

  • Feliciano quarterbacked UCI to an upset over No. 25 UCSB with career-highs of 46 sets and 19 digs for an 11th double-double of the season. The Laguna Niguel, Calif., native also added four kills and two block assists in the match.  

  • In the five-set loss against the Mustangs, Feliciano contributed 45 assists, nine digs and a career-high five block assists. Offensively, the freshman hit .625 with six kills on eight swings and just one error.
