UC San Diego's Haney, Weidler of UC Davis Claim Season's Second Athlete of the Week Honors

Men's Athlete of the Week
Jordan Haney, UC San Diego | Senior • Carlsbad, Calif.

UC San Diego's Jordan Haney took 17th place at the Gans Creek Classic, hosted by Missouri, to earn Athlete of the Week honors. It is the second time this season that Haney has won the award.
The senior completed the 8K course in a time of 24:36.0, a seasonal-best for the Carlsbad, Calif. product.
UC San Diego earned ninth place as a team.

Women's Athlete of the Week
Brianna Weidler, UC Davis | Junior • Temecula, Calif.

UC Davis junior Brianna Weidler placed seventh overall at the Joe Piane Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame, to take home the Athlete of the Week accolade. It is the second straight week that Weidler has won the weekly honor.
It was the second straight top-10 performance for the defending Big West individual champion.
The Temecula, Calif. product clocked 16:33.1 over the 5K distance.
As a team, UC Davis finished in fourth place.
