UC San Diego Sweeps Final Iteration of Cross Country Weekly Honors

Men's Athlete of the Week
Zeno Castiglioni, UC San Diego | Senior • Davis, Calif.

UC San Diego's Zeno Castiglioni finished fourth overall at the John Elders Titan Invitational, hosted by Cal State Fullerton, to earn Athlete of the Week honors. It is the third time that a UC San Diego runner has won the weekly honor from The Big West with Jordan Haney winning the award twice earlier this season.
The senior crossed the finish line of the 8K course in 24:08.2.
UC San Diego won the team competition with 38 points.

Women's Athlete of the Week
Isabelle Shepherd, UC San Diego | Senior • San Diego, Calif.

Isabelle Shepherd led UC San Diego at the John Elders Titan Invitational, hosted by Cal State Fullerton, with an eighth-place overall finish to win the Athlete of the Week award. It is Shepherd's second women's cross country weekly honor this season after winning it on Sept. 12.
The San Diego, Calif. native clocked in with a time of 17:45.3 over the 5K distance.
UC San Diego won the team competition with 52 points.
