Cal State Fullerton's Ordonez Wins Third Straight Weekly Honor Alongside Firsts for UC San Diego's Wilson and UC Irvine's Treinen

Offensive Player of the Week

  • 27265Cal State Fullerton's Roberto Ordonez compiled four goals and two assists in two wins for the Titans to claim the Offensive Player of the Week award. It is the third straight weekly honor that Ordonez has won. 

  • Ordonez was a part for all five Titan goals in Wednesday's 5-4 win at CSUN. The McAllen, Texas product recorded a career-first hat trick and assisted on the other two goals. Down by a goal, Ordonez led the Fullerton comeback with a score in the 77th minute and assisted on the game-winner in the 88th minute.

  • The junior midfielder scored the lone goal of the match, a penalty kick in the 24th minute, in Saturday's 1-0 home win over UC Davis.  

  • Ordonez currently leads the Titans and The Big West in goals (9), assists (7) and points (25). 

  • Cal State Fullerton is currently on a nine-game unbeaten streak amid six straight wins. The Titans are 8-2-2 on the year and first in The Big West with a 2-0 record in conference play.

  • 8138UC San Diego's Mitchell Wilson tallied 12 saves and two clean sheets to win the Defensive Player of the Week award. 

  • On Wednesday, Wilson made three stops in the Tritons' 3-0 home win over UC Santa Barbara. 

  • The Huntington Beach, Calif. native recorded a career-high nine saves in a 0-0 tie at Sacramento State on Saturday. 
  • The senior has compiled 29 total saves, ranking third in The Big West in saves per game at 4.14. 

  • UC San Diego is 1-0-1 to start Big West play.

Brady Treinen, UC Irvine | Freshman • Defender • Tustin, Calif.
  • 8136UC Irvine freshman defender Brady Treinen helped UC Irvine to two shutouts to earn the Freshman of the Week accolade.

  • The rookie helped turn in a clean sheet and assisted on the lone goal in Wednesday's 1-0 home win over UC Riverside.
  • Treinen and the Anteaters earned their second shutout of the week with a 0-0 draw at UC Santa Barbara. 

  • UC Irvine is 4-3-3 on the year and 1-0-1 in conference play.
