Cal Poly's Bove and UC Irvine's Andar Take Home Weekly Awards

Men's Athlete of the Week
Davis Bove, Cal Poly | Graduate Student • Franklin, Tenn.

Cal Poly's Davis Bove won the Bronco Invitational, hosted by Santa Clara, to earn Athlete of the Week honors. It is Bove's second weekly honor from The Big West, having won the award on Sept. 26 earlier this year.
It was the Franklin, Tenn. native's second straight individual victory this season.
The graduate student completed the 8K course in a time of 23:14.4, a new personal and course record.
Cal Poly won the team competition for the third consecutive time this year.

Women's Athlete of the Week
Sameen Andar, UC Irvine | Junior • San Ramon, Calif.

Sameen Andar led UC Irvine at the Bronco Invitational, hosted by Santa Clara, with a sixth-place individual finish to win the Athlete of the Week award. It is UC Irvine's second women's cross country weekly honor this season after Anna Vogtmann won it on Sept. 19.
The junior clocked 20:06.3 over the 6K distance. It was the second-fastest 6K of Andar's career and third-fastest in the conference this season.
As a team, UC Irvine finished fourth out of 21 squads.
