Maia Dvoracek, Cal Poly  Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week  Senior • Opposite Hitter • Truckee, Calif.

• Cal Poly swept through a trio of foes at the Northern Colorado Classic and senior Maia Dvoracek earned Big West Offensive Player of the Week for efforts to lead the Mustangs. This is Dvoracek’s sixth weekly offensive honor, with all five others coming during the 2019 season. 

• Dvoracek was named to the Northern Colorado Classic All-Tournament Team after averaging 4.11 kills and 3.67 digs per set as Cal Poly defeated Santa Clara, Northern Colorado and Tarleton State in straight sets.  

• Dvoracek had double-doubles in two of the three matches, including matching a career-high with 17 digs to go along with eight kills and four blocks against Tarleton State. Starting the weekend against Santa Clara, the opposite hitter finished with 15 kills on .500 hitting, along with 10 digs and three blocks.  

• For the season, Dvoracek is now averaging a team-leading 3.51 kills and 3.05 digs per set while rating fourth in The Big West in points per set at 4.27.

Breanna Mitchell, CSUN  Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week  Freshman • Libero • Temecula, Calif.

• CSUN’s Breanna Mitchell recorded at least 20 digs in all three matches as CSUN went 2-1 at the Wildcat Classic in Tucson, Ariz., to claim Big West Defensive Player of the Week.  

• Mitchell scooped up 27 digs in a five-set victory against UTEP, and followed it up with 23 in another five-setter against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. 

• The libero from Temecula added 20 more in the weekend’s lone loss to Arizona to average 5.00 digs per set on the weekend.  

• Mitchell’s 211 total digs on the season currently rates first in The Big West and is 35th nationally.

Carisa Barron, CSUN  Women's Volleyball Setter of the Week  Sophomore • Setter  • Bakersfield, Calif.

• Carisa Barron posted gaudy numbers in CSUN's weekend at the Wildcat Classic in Tucson, Ariz., to claim Big West Setter of the Week, Barron’s first career weekly distinction. 

• The sophomore closed the five-set victory against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with 27 assists, 18 digs and 10 kills for the elusive triple-double. Barron’s triple-double is CSUN’s first since 2006, and the second in The Big West this season. 

• Barron, and UC Riverside’s Tayler Hifo are two of the 20 women in the NCAA to post a triple-double thus far in 2022. 

• Barron rounded out the weekend totaling 71 assists, 41 digs and 14 kills in 14 sets played as the Matadors went 2-1 in the desert.
