Alexandra Hargrave, UC Riverside  Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week  Redshirt Junior • Midfielder • Alta Loma, Calif.

• UC Riverside midfielder Alexandra Hargrave had a three-goal weekend to claim Big West Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.  

• In the Highlanders’ tie with California Baptist, Hargrave connected twice in the 3-3 battle. The first strike came in the seventh minute, and the second successful attempt came in the 14th as Hargrave found the bottom left corner for the goal score. The midfielder tallied four shots on goal and played 81 minutes in the Crosstown Showdown. 

• Against New Mexico on Sunday, the native of Alta Loma, Calif., again scored a first-half goal, this time opening the game’s scoring in the 19th minute. The Highlanders and Lobos played to a 2-2 draw with both UC Riverside strikes coming in the first half and both New Mexico scoring plays occurring in the final 11 minutes of the contest. 

• This is Hargrave’s first career weekly honor and the first for a UC Riverside women’s soccer player since Oct. 21, 2019 (Alexis Vera).

Sophie Augustin, Hawai'i  Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week  Junior • Goalkeeper • Augsburg, Bavaria

• Hawai’i goalkeeper Sophie Augustin was rewarded for her banner outing at Portland State with Big West Defensive Player of the Week honors. 

• Augustin set a career high with eight saves in a 2-1 win at Portland State, with the only goal allowed coming on a penalty kick in the 51st minute.  

• Tallying eight saves against the Vikings, Augustin recorded the most saves in a game by a Rainbow Wahine goalkeeper since Oct. 31, 2019 when Alexis Mata finished with 10. 

• This is Augustin’s first career weekly honor and the first for a Hawai’i women’s soccer player since the 2019 season.

Amber Gilbert, Hawai'i  Women’s Soccer Freshman of the Week  Redshirt Freshman • Forward • Honolulu, O'ahu

• Hawai’i’s Amber Gilbert scored a goal and assisted on another in a 2-1 win at Portland State en route to earning Big West Freshman of the Week. 

• Gilbert connected after receiving a cross to the back post on the double-assisted play to put Hawai’i ahead at the 14:06 mark. It was the forward’s second goal of the season.  

• The native of Honolulu recorded her first career assist just 24 seconds after the score after running down a long pass up the left side for the shot attempt that was stopped, and then cleaned up by Krista Peterson for the score at 14:30. 

• Gilbert is the first Rainbow Wahine player with a goal and assist in a match since 2019.
