• UC Santa Barbara sophomore forward Salvador Aguilar accumulated two goals to earn The Big West Offensive Player of the Week. The Gauchos went 1-0-1 on the week. It is the San Simeon product's second career Offensive Player of the Week honor after winning it once last season.
• The forward netted the equalizing goal in the 75th minute to seal a 1-1 road draw at No. 19 Missouri State in the season opener Thursday.
• On Sunday, Aguilar scored the first goal in a 2-0 home win against California Baptist.

• CSUN redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Cooper Wenzel led the Matadors to a 1-0-1 record on the week to start the 2022 campaign and claim The Big West Defensive Player of the Week. The Fresno product recorded a combined .818 save percentage in the two contests.
• On Thursday in the season opener, the redshirt sophomore made three saves as CSUN recorded a 2-1 home win over San Diego State.
• Wenzel tied his career-high with six saves on Sunday as the Matadors tied SIUE 1-1.

• UC Davis freshman forward Marcus Garcia recorded a goal against a ranked opponent to win The Big West Freshman of the Week honor.
• The Albuquerque native scored the equalizing goal in the 58th minute against No. 5 Oregon State in his collegiate debut. The Aggies allowed a late goal to the Beavers and fell 2-1.
