Emily Lieber, Cal Poly  Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week  Freshman • Forward • El Dorado Hills, Calif.

• Cal Poly’s Emily Lieber helped the Mustangs to a 2-0 week on the road, assisting on both of Cal Poly's game-winning goals. Lieber was named both Offensive Player and Freshman of the Week after the winning weekend, both career-first awards. 

• The freshman centered a cross to Nikki Trucco at Minnesota in the 78th minute for the game-winner on Thursday. The victory over a Big Ten opponent was Cal Poly’s first since 2008. 

• Sunday’s late-game heroics came in the 80th minute at Sacramento State. Lieber centered the cross to Kylie Rojas for the score that would prove to be the difference. The win at Sacramento State is the first for the Mustangs since the 2012 campaign and levels their season record to 2-2.

Mia Ranson, Cal State Fullerton  Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week  Redshirt Freshman • Goalkeeper • Oxnard, Calif.

• Cal State Fullerton's Mia Ranson was again formidable between the pipes for the Titans to earn a second weekly award of the young 2022 season. Last week, Ranson claimed Freshman of the Week honors.  

• The redshirt freshman goalkeeper totaled eight saves on the weekend, stopping three balls in a 2-1 win for Cal State Fullerton against UC Irvine in a non-conference matchup. The only goal allowed was on a penalty kick for the Anteaters.  

• Ranson picked up the clean sheet in a 0-0 draw against Texas Tech to cap the weekend. The native of Oxnard, Calif., made five saves against the Red Raiders for a career-first shutout in goal.
