IRVINE, Calif. (July 27, 2022) – The Big West announced that Ontario International Airport (ONT) has joined as the “Official Airport of The Big West.” The partnership was secured by Van Wagner, who manages The Big West’s sponsorship program.
“We’re pleased to welcome Ontario International Airport to The Big West family,” Big West Commissioner Dan Butterly said. “Ontario International is perfectly positioned in the heart of Big West country. Just a short drive from many of the cities and campuses we call home.”
Ontario International is the fastest-growing airport in the United States and is one of the few airports in the world that has exceeded pre-pandemic passenger levels for each of the past four months. Factoring in commute times, nearly 10 million Southern Californians live or work closer to ONT than any other airport.
As the Official Airport of the Big West, Ontario International Airport will receive marketing exposure year-round on Big West digital and social platforms, including assets at the 2023 Hercules Tires Big West Basketball Championships presented by The Hawaiian Islands at The Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nev., March 7-11, 2023.
