• UC Riverside’s Chrys Hildebrand went 2-1 with 19 strikeouts, including 12 against Sacred Heart, to earn The Big West Softball Pitcher of the Week.
 
• Hildebrand threw five innings with 12 strikeouts and allowed only two hits as the Highlanders defeated Sacred Heart 12-0.
 
• The senior from Yorba Linda pitched seven innings with six strikeouts in a 3-2 win over North Dakota State.

Maddie Amos, Cal Poly  Softball Field Player of the Week  Senior • Shortstop • Roseville, Calif.

• Cal Poly senior Maddie Amos hit safely in all five games at the Judi Garman Classic with a .438 batting average to earn The Big West Softball Field Player of the Week.
 
• The senior recorded a season-best three RBI with a home run against Loyola Marymount.
 
• Amos also homered in a 5-2 win against Fresno State with two RBI.

Alexis Martinez, CSUN  Softball Freshman of the Week  Freshman • Pitcher • Phillips Ranch, Calif.

• CSUN freshman Alexis Martinez went 2-0 with two shutouts on the weekend to earn The Big West Softball Freshman of the Week.
 
• The pitcher from Phillips Ranch tossed a complete-game two-hitter with two strikeouts as the Matadors defeated California Baptist 2-0.
 
• Martinez pitched a three-hitter with three strikeouts as CSUN defeated Sacred Heart 4-0 to conclude Saturday's play.
