Sutherlin Repeats, Triton Duo Honored as Softball Players of the Week

• Cal State Fullerton pitcher Myka Sutherlin threw 14.0 innings with a 0.50 ERA and 20 strikeouts against CSU Bakersfield to earn the title of Big West Softball Pitcher of the Week. It is Sutherlin's second consecutive and third overall weekly honor from the conference this season. 
 
•  Sutherlin threw a no-hitter in game one of the series against the Roadrunners, going seven innings with only one walk and nine strikeouts. It was the 57th no-hitter recorded in this history of the Titan softball program. 
 
• The righty from Gilbert, Ariz. tossed another seven-inning complete game in the series finale, giving up only one hit, one walk and one run, while striking out 11 batters. Cal State Fullerton took all three games and swept CSU Bakersfield in the series.

28794• UC San Diego infielder Isabel Lavrov hit .538 (7-for-13) with five runs, seven RBI, one walk and one home run in four games to claim The Big West Softball Field Player of the Week award. 
 
• Lavrov amassed one hit, one run and two RBI in the series finale win against CSU Bakersfield Monday. 
 
• The infielder from Berkeley was perfect from the plate in game one against UC Santa Barbara, going 3-for-3 with two runs scored. 

• Lavrov was 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs in the series finale against UC Santa Barbara. In the seventh inning she blasted a three-run home run, her third of the season.

28793• UC San Diego pitcher Jada Cecil went 3-0, threw 17 innings with a 0.00 ERA and amassed 21 strikeouts in three games to claim The Big West Softball Freshman of the Week honor. It is the second time this season she has been named the conference's Freshman of the Week. 
 
• Cecil pitched a six-inning complete game shutout with 11 strikeouts and only gave up two hits in a win in the series finale against CSU Bakersfield Monday. 
 
• The Temecula product tossed six innings, gave up two hits and a walk, and struck out seven in game one against UC Santa Barbara. 

• In the series finale against UC Santa Barbara, Cecil went five innings, allowed one unearned run on four hits, and struck out three. She has an 11-1 pitching record with 1.71 ERA and 128 strikeouts in 90.0 innings pitched.
