- Junior outside hitter Ryan Wilcox hit above .600 in then-fifth-ranked UC Santa Barbara’s two sweeps over CSUN, averaging 5.50 kills per set.
- The Honolulu, Hawaii, native has led all players in kills in five matches in a row, with the Gauchos winners of a season-best nine straight.
- Wilcox began last week with two career performances of five kills per set, and would achieve it twice against the Matadors.
- He put down 15 kills on a career-high-tying .667 (15-1-21) hitting during Thursday’s home meeting, to go along with three aces, six digs and two block assists. On Friday in Northridge, he added 18 kills while attacking at a .615 (18-2-26) clip, alongside four digs and two more block assists. Wilcox totaled a match-high 19.0 points each night.
- Wilcox is a three-time Offensive Player of the Week this season (Jan. 31, Feb. 21) after four Freshman of the Week awards in 2019.

Men's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week

- Sophomore middle blocker Guilherme Voss led fourth-ranked defending national champion Hawai’i to a pair of home victories over No. 12 Lewis.
- Voss averaged 2.00 blocks per set, collecting a career-high 12 total blocks, four of them solo, during Saturday’s four-set triumph. The 12 blocks were the most by a UH player in a single match since 2015.
- The native of Brazil recorded two block assists in Thursday night’s sweep of the Flyers, to go along with six kills on nine attempts without an error (.667). Voss averaged 1.71 kills and 3.14 points per set on .476 hitting in the series.
- Voss is a two-time Defensive Player of the Week this season (Feb. 7), having also nabbed one such award on April 12, 2021, after three Freshman of the Week recognitions in 2020.

- Outside hitter Hilir Henno aided UC Irvine to a 2-1 week, including a split with then-second-ranked Long Beach State, to get the Anteaters back into the national poll at No. 13.
- In Thursday’s upset of the Beach to open conference action, Henno put down 17 kills to go along with a match- and season-high six aces, with the latter number tied for third-best in the Big West thus far in 2022.
- Henno went on to provide 11 kills and seven digs the next night in Long Beach. He rounded out the week with 15 kills on .393 (15-4-28) hitting in a four-set home win over George Mason, adding two aces, six digs and three block assists.
- The native of France averaged 3.58 kills, 4.50 points, 1.33 digs, 0.50 blocks and 0.67 aces per set. Henno has registered double-figure kills in 10 consecutive matches.
- Henno is a four-time Freshman of the Week in addition to one Offensive (Jan. 17) and one Defensive (Jan. 10) Player of the Week distinction to show for his first season of college volleyball.
