• UC Santa Barbara's Ajay Mitchell averaged 30.5 points, on 66 percent (21-of-32) shooting), 2.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in a pair of overtime wins over UC Riverside and UC Davis to earn his first Big West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award.
 
• The freshman guard scored 31 points, shooting 10-of-15 from the floor and 2-of-3 from behind the arc, with three assists and four rebounds as the Gauchos defeated UC Davis in overtime 76-69 Thursday.
 
• In a 97-90 double overtime win against UC Riverside on Saturday, Mitchell recorded 30 points, on 65 percent (11-of-17) shooting and a perfect 2-of-2 from long distance, to go along with four assists.
