Redshirt sophomore Kyle Hobus led CSUN to a pair of home wins to nab both Big West offensive and defensive weekly honors.

Offensively, the San Pedro, Calif., native hit .373 in the two matches with 22 total kills, or 3.14 per set. He also added five aces on the week as the Matadors swept Saint Katherine before upsetting No. 12 Stanford, 3-1.

Defensively, Hobus tallied 13 total digs and eight blocks on the week, including one solo stuff, in a well-rounded pair of matches.

After hitting .474 (10-1-19) against St. Katherine, Hobus posted his second career double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs as the Matadors upended Stanford. He also recorded a career-high four aces to go with four blocks against the Cardinal.

This is the second time Hobus has earned weekly acclaim, being named Freshman of the Week once (Jan. 13, 2020).

Freshman Donovan Constable directed the CSUN offense to a pair of home wins en route to claiming his first career Big West weekly honor.

The setter from Clovis, Calif. Posted 63 assists - 9.00 assists per set - to go along with four aces, nine digs and seven blocks as the Matadors swept Saint Katherine and claimed the 3-1 upset over No. 12 Stanford.

Constable had a season-high 38 assists along with three aces, six digs and two kills in the CSUN’s victory over the Cardinal.
