UC Santa Barbara junior Ryan Wilcox powered the Gauchos to a pair of victories over visiting BYU to claim his second Big West Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season (Jan. 31).

The outside hitter from Honolulu totaled 26 kills on .315 hitting on the weekend, averaging 3.71 kills, 1.43 digs and 1.29 blocks per set.

Wilcox started the weekend with a match-high 11 kills, four digs and five blocks in Friday's sweep of the Cougars.

On Saturday, he contributed 15 kills on .367 along with six digs, four blocks and two aces in the thrilling four-set win. Three of the four sets played were decided by extra points (25-22, 28-26, 26-28, 26-24). Wilcox fired the final two kills of the night to seal the victory for UC Santa Barbara.

UC Irvine sophomore Connor Campbell had a dominant night at the net to lead the Anteaters to a Friday sweep over Concordia-Irvine.

Campbell finished with a career-high nine total blocks, including one solo effort, to go along with nine kills and a .643 hitting performance. He did not commit an error in his 14 shot attempts for the Anteaters.

The middle blocker from San Diego's nine blocks are tied are the most in NCAA Division I for a three-set match.

This is Campbell's second Big West weekly award of the season, also earning acclaim on Jan. 17.

True freshman Matthew Lim established himself as a force for UC San Diego, leading the team to a pair of three-set wins at home.

He posted a .512 hitting percentage with a team-high of 4.75 points and 4.33 kills per set on the weekend. The San Diego native also averaged 1.67 digs and 0.5 blocks on the weekend.

Friday against UC Santa Cruz, Lim finished with 11 kills on .500 hitting, along with contributing three blocks, two digs and an ace in the Tritons' victory.

On Saturday against Concordia-Irvine, he led all players with a career-high 15 kills on .524 hitting. He also added a career-best eight digs in the sweep.

This marks Lim's first career Big West weekly award.
