• UC Riverside sophomore Collette Lowengrub placed third overall in the women's gold 5K race at the Joe Piane Invitational to be named The Big West Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week.
• Lowengrub crossed the finish line in 17:03.4.
• The Highlanders took fifth place as a team.

Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week

• Cal Poly junior Xian Shively ran 23:54.0 in the blue men's 5 mile race at the Joe Piane Invitational to earn The Big West Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week.
• Shively was the first Mustang to cross the line and placed 25th.
• As a team, Cal Poly took seventh place.
