Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

• UC Santa Barbara junior forward Finn Ballard McBride tallied three goals in two games to be named The Big West Offensive Player of the Week. It is the third week in a row that a Gaucho has won the conference's offensive weekly honor after Salvador Aguilar won the previous two. It is Ballard McBride's second career weekly honor combined with his one from 2019.
• On Wednesday against UC San Diego, Ballard McBride successfully converted the penalty kick in a 1-0 win.
• The Sydney, Australia product put away two goals in a 4-0 victory Saturday night against CSUN.
• Ballard McBride is currently the top scorer in The Big West during conference play with three goals.

• UC Santa Barbara junior goalkeeper Leroy Zeller got two clean sheets and tallied seven saves in two games to win The Big West Defensive Player of the Week award.
• Zeller and the Gaucho defense did not allow a UC San Diego shot in the first half Wednseday night. The Züplich, Germany native compiled three saves in the second half to secure a 1-0 win.
• Zeller made four saves and did not allow a goal in a 4-0 win against CSUN Saturday night.

• UC Irvine freshman forward Agaton Pourshahidi scored two goals to earn The Big West Freshman of the Week honor.
• Pourshahidi scored twice in the final 20 minutes to secure the 3-2 win, Wednesday night against Cal State Fullerton. Down 2-1, the rookie scored in the 72nd and 89th minute to complete the comeback for the Anteaters.
• Pourshahidi logged 44 minutes Sunday against Cal Poly.
