Ballard McBride Wins Season's Second Alongside First-Time Men's Soccer Honorees Kadono and Dutra

29865• UC Santa Barbara junior Forward Finn Ballard McBride scored two goals to earn The Big West Offensive Player of the Week honor. It is Ballard McBride's second weekly offensive honor of the season, third of his career. 

• Ballard McBride put away both goals in a 2-0 win at Sacramento State on Wednesday. The Sydney, Austrlia product now has eight goals, tied for first in the conference, and four game-winning goals, first in the conference and tied for fourth in the NCAA, this season. 

• UC Santa Barabra's originally scheduled game on Saturday, Oct. 15 at UC Irvine was postponed due to weather. 

• The Gauchos currently sit at the top of The Big West table with a 3-0-2 record for 11 points, with two weeks left to go in the regular season.

29863• Cal State Fullerton junior goalkeeper Tetsuya Kadono recorded two shutouts to win The Big West Defensive Player of the Week award. Kadono is a first-time Big West weekly honoree. 

• On Wednesday, Kadono helped the Titans to a 1-0 victory over UC San Diego and compiled seven saves. 

• The junior accumulated three saves against UC Davis in a 0-0 draw on Saturday. 

• Kadono leads the NCAA in goalie minutes played with 1367:32 on the pitch this season. The Irvine, Calif. product has five shutouts, tied for 21st nationally, and 52 saves, tied for 22nd nationally, on the season.

29867• UC Davis freshman forward Andrew Dutra recorded his first career assist to be named The Big West Freshman of the Week. It is the fourth time this season that an Aggie has won the Freshman of the Week award. Previous winners from UC Davis were Marcus Garcia, Cason Goodman and Luke Goodman. 

• Dutra only saw the pitch for 11 minutes, but assisted on the eventual game-winning goal right before halftime in a 2-1 win against CSU Bakersfield on Wednesday. 

• Dutra did not play in Saturday's 0-0 tie to Cal State Fullerton. 

• The rookie has appeared in 13 games and has logged 455 minutes so far this season.
