UC Davis Sweeps Men's Soccer Weekly Awards

29822• UC Davis junior midfielder Ryan Dieter compiled a goal and an assist in two wins to earn The Big West Offensive Player of the Week honor.

• The Santa Rosa native assisted on the game-winning score in a 1-0 home win against UC Irvine Wednesday. 

• Dieter recorded the game-winning goal in a 1-0 triumph at CSUN Saturday night. It was the junior's first goal of the season.

Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week 
Sophomore • Goalkeeper • Sebastopol, Calif. 
29818• UC Davis sophomore goalkeeper tallied two shutouts and seven saves in two wins to win The Big West Defensive Player of the Week award. 

• On Wednesday, Janssen and the Aggie defense only allowed one shot on goal, and had one saves in a 1-0 win against UC Irvine Wednesday. 

• The Sebastopol product came away with six saves and did not allow a goal for his second shutout of the week in another 1-0 victory at CSUN Saturday night. 

• With the two shutouts, Janssen lowered his goals-against average to .887, the best in The Big West.

Men’s Soccer Freshman of the Week 
Freshman • Defender • Santa Barbara, Calif. 
29820• UC Davis freshman defender Luke Goodman played logged 180 minutes on the back line in two shutout wins to be named The Big West Freshman of the Week. 

• Goodman played a full 90 minutes in a 1-0 victory against UC Irvine Wednesday. The rookie was part of the Aggie defense that allowed only one Anteater shot on goal. 

• Goodman saw another full 90 minutes on the pitch as the Aggies turned in their second shutout of the week in a 1-0 win at CSUN Saturday night.
