Collin Welp, UC Irvine  Men’s Basketball Player of the Week  Senior • Forward • Seattle, Wash.

• UC Irvine senior Collin Welp recorded a season-high 30 points to go with eight rebounds, one assists two steals and a block in a 68-51 road win at UC Riverside to earn The Big West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honor for the second time this season and third time in his career. He previously won the conference's weekly honor on Nov. 29 earlier this season and on Dec. 29 during the 2020-21 season. 
• The forward was lights out in the second half, going 10-for-10 from the floor and 5-for-5 from the charity stripe, to score 25 points in the latter 20 minutes of the game.
• Welp’s 30 points is the most in Big West play so far this season and is just one shy of his career-high of 31.
