Cal State Fullerton Sweeps Cross Country Athlete of the Week Honors

• Trinity Ruelas wins her second Big West Cross Country Athlete of the Week award. She has technically won the award for a second consecutive time as she was honored with the last Athlete of the Week accolade announced on Oct. 22, 2019.
• The senior won the women’s 5000-meter race at Mark Covert Classic with a time of 17:39.5, more than 30 seconds in front of the second-place finished.
• Led by Ruelas, the Titans won the team title at the meet.

Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week 
Senior • Norwalk, Calif.
27399• Sam Ayala takes home his first Big West Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor.
• Ayala was the runner-up finisher at the Mark Covert Classic, finishing the men's 8000-meter course in 24:52.0.
• With his performance, the senior helped the Titans to a team win.
