WOMEN'S TENNIS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Sophomore • Fergana City, Uzbekistan

• Dominating performances in singles and doubles propelled UC Santa Barbara sophomore Shakhnoza Khatamova to her second Big West Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week award this season.

• Khatamova helped the Gauchos to a pair of Big West victories over Cal State Fullerton (6-1) and Hawai‘i (5-2), going a combined 3-0 in singles and doubles.

• At No. 3 singles, she lost just three games total in defeating CSF’s Jadie Acidera, 6-1, 6-1, and UH’s Madison’s Kim, 6-0, 6-1.

• Khatamova combined with Kira Reuter at No. 2 doubles  to blank the Titan duo of Acidera and Taylor Valenzuela, 6-0.

• UCSB improved to 4-0 in the Big West to move into a first place tie with Cal Poly.
