Hawaii's Ilagan Earns Fourth Career Men's Tennis Honor

• Earning his fourth career Big West Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week award, Hawai‘i junior Andre Ilagan took down a nationally ranked foe in singles.

• Ilagan handed UC Irvine’s Bjorn Hoffmann, ranked No. 67 in the Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association singles poll, a 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 defeat at the No. 1 position on Saturday.

• He also teamed with Lucas Labrunie at No. 1 doubles to dispatch the Anteater tandem of Hoffmann and Bruce Man-Son-Hing, 6-4.

• Ilagan’s four career Athlete of the Week awards is the most by any Rainbow Warrior during the Big West era.

• The Honolulu native is one of only 16 players in Big West history to be named to the honor roll at least four times.

• Ilagan is 4-2 in singles and 5-1 in doubles this season.
