• Long Beach State's Alyssa Gonzalez supplied the offensive firepower in the club's road sweep over CSUN, netting her Big West Field Player of the Week honors.
• Gonzalez had two three-hit games in the series, going 3-for-4 in the opener and closing game.
• She collected a pair of RBI and scored three times in the opener, while also adding a three-run homer in the finale that powered LBSU to the win.
• In all, Gonzalez hit .583 with a homer, six RBI, four runs scored and added a stolen base while not striking out once in 12-at bats against Matador pitching.

• Long Beach State's Shannon Haddad doubled up on the weekly awards after a dominating weekend in the circle, winning Big West Pitcher and Freshman of the Week accolades.
• Haddad started game one against CSUN, going four innings and allowing just one hit, no runs, one walk and striking out 11.
• Her second start in the finale was more of the same as she went five innings and allowed just two hits, no runs, one walk and striking out 11.
• In all, Haddad's 20 strikeouts in just nine innings translates to 15.5 strikeouts per seven innings.
