For the third straight week Cal Poly’s Emily Sonny & Macy Gordon earned Big West Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week accolades.  This is the fourth time Sonny and Gordon have been recognized as Pair of the Week in their careers together, with three coming this season and a fourth coming in the last week of the 2019 season.

• Posted a 5-0 record at the No. 1 spot, en route to Cal Poly’s sweep of five matches against Big West oppoenents

• After dropping the first set against No. 19 Long Beach State’s Mari Molina and Tyler Spriggs, Gordon and Sonny came back to secure the victory to close out their third of three matches on Friday

• With wins against No. 10 Hawaii and No. 19 Long Beach State, Cal Poly is now 5-3 this season against ranked opponents  

• The duo is now a team-best 12-3 this season, and have won the last nine matches.

•Third weekly honor of 2021 for the duo
