MEN'S VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• Hawai‘i senior Rado Parapunov notched his second Big West Men’s Volleyball Player of the Week award and 12th of his career after spearheading a three-match sweep of No. 3 UC Santa Barbara.
• The 6-9 opposite led the team in kills in all three matches with 52 total for a 5.20 average.
• Parapunov hit .422 (52-14-90) overall and performed consistently while not dipping below the .400 mark in any of the contests.
• Parapunov also was strong on the defensive end, averaging 2.40 digs per set. In the opener, he posted 16 kills and 11 digs to secure his first double-double and fourth of his career in four-set win.
• In the third and designated non-conference match, the Bulgaria native slammed 20 kills and tallied four aces. He reached 20 kills for the 11th time in his career.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• For the fourth time in his career, Hawai‘i senior Patrick Gasman garnered Big West Men’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week accolades.
• The 6-10 middle blocker/opposite was a menace at the net in three road wins over No. 3 UC Santa Barbara, tallying 19 over 10 sets (1.90 bpg).
• Gasman’s 19 total blocks included four solo.
• Gasman posted career-highs in kills (14) and blocks (9) in the four-set opening win in the series.
• He hit .889 with eight kills in nine errorless attempts in match two to go along with four blocks.
• He hit .500 or better in all three matches and .619 overall (29-3-42) for the week.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

• UC Irvine setter Dylan Zhai collected his first career Big West Men’s Volleyball Freshman of the Week award with a pair of solid efforts against No. 13 UC San Diego.
• The setter posted a career-high 51 set assists in back-to-back five-set conference matches as the Anteaters split.
• In a five-set home win, Zhai notched his first career double-double as a career-best 10 digs helped the UCI cause. He flirted with a triple-double while adding a career-high seven block assists.
• In the second meeting, he added an ace and five digs.
