The Cal Poly pair of Amy Ozee and Jayelin Lombard captured the first Big West Beach Volleyball Pairs of the Week honor for the new year.

• Played together for the first time as the Mustang’s No. 2 pair.
• Posted a 3-1 record with their lone loss coming by way of No. 3 Florida State, which they lost those sets by two points each (21-19).
• They defeated Tampa (2-0), No. 18 Georgia State (2-0) and Southern Mississippi (2-0).
• Helped Cal Poly post a 3-1 record in its season-opening tournament in Tallahassee, Fla.
