• UC San Diego picked up a historic honor as Sydney Brown was named Big West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, the first weekly honor for a Triton in its Division I history.
• Brown averaged 18.5 points, 14.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in UCSD’s road sweep over UC Riverside.
• Game one saw Brown post 20 points and 12 rebounds, while game two had her put up 17 points and a career-best 16 rebounds. The 16 boards are the second-most by a Big West player this season.
• Brown shot 63.5% (12-19) from the floor and hit five of her six three-point attempts. She also played 76 of a possible 80 minutes over the two games.
• Brown’s pair of double doubles matched her season total coming into the weekend. She is tied for third in the conference in double-doubles.
