• UC Davis sophomore Elijah Pepper has garnered the Big West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award for February 8-14.
• Pepper earned his first career honor after making key contributions in a Big West series sweep of Long Beach State.
• The 6-4 guard averaged 23.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 steals per game as the Aggies evened their Big West record at 3-3 with a pair of two-point victories over the Beach.
• In Friday’s 68-66 triumph, Pepper posted 14 points with six rebounds, four steals and a blocked shot in 34 minutes. He knocked down three treys and went 5-of-6 at the free throw line.
• Pepper set four career-highs with 32 points, 11 made field goals, six threes and five steals in Saturday’s 78-76 win in overtime.
• He hit a key three with 10 seconds remaining in OT to give the Aggies a 78-73 lead. He finished the game 11-of-22 from the floor, including 6-of-10 from distance.
• The 32 points is the most scored by a Big West player this season.
• The Aggies won their sixth straight at home and fifth in a row overall against the Beach.
