Michelle Ohwobete, UC Santa Barbara  Women’s Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week  Freshman • Outside Hitter • Oakland, Calif.

• Freshman Michelle Ohwobete helped lead UC Santa Barbara to a pair of sweeps over the weekend posting back-to-back 16-kill matches for a 5.33 kill per set average on a combined .406 hitting clip.  

• The Oakland, Calif., native led all players with 16 kills on a .314 clip and added a career-high four aces, four digs, and three blocks to her stat line in a three-setter against UC Davis.  

• Against UC Riverside the outside hitter led all players again, this time posting 16 kills on a potent 16-1-29 (.517) line to go with two aces and five digs. She also did a bulk of the passing work in both matches committing just three errors on the weekend. 

• This marks Ohwobete’s second Offensive nod of the season (Nov. 1), and fourth Freshman weekly accolade (Sept. 13, Oct. 25, Nov. 4).

Bailey Darnell, UC Irvine  Women’s Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week  Sophomore • Libero • Honolulu, Hawai’i

• Bailey Darnell recorded two of her three starts this season and made the most of it, averaging 5.14 digs per set in a weekend split for UC Irvine.  

• The sophomore collected a career-high 26 digs in a four-set victory over Cal State Fullerton. It was the most digs tallied in a match by an Anteater this season. 

• The libero from Honolulu, Hawai’i, followed it with 10 digs and an assist in three sets at Long Beach State. 

• This marks Darnell’s first career Big West weekly award.
