Rocak Becomes First Triton to Earn Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week

  • UC San Diego forward Toni Rocak led the Tritons to a pair of wins over prominent foes to open the season and earn his first-ever Big West weekly award. Along with the distinction of Rocak’s first Big West nod, it is the program’s first weekly winner, as UC San Diego joined the conference before the 2019-20 season. 

  • Rocak scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the Tritons’ 13-point win at Cal – UC San Diego’s first ever Division I road win.  

  • On Saturday, he added 11 points and 7 rebounds as the Tritons downed George Washington in the home opener. The victory is UC San Diego’s fourth straight, dating back to last season. 

  • In the two victorious efforts, Rocak averaged 19.0 points on 55 percent field goal shooting, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals for UC San Diego.
