The Big West Women's Basketball Preview Show Set to Air on ESPN+ on Nov. 2

Get ready, hoops fans – it's almost time to tip off the 2021-22 Big West women’s basketball season! 

Join Krista Blunk, Tammy Blackburn and Drew Jones at Noon on Tuesday, Nov. 2 on ESPN+ as the trio gets you ready the upcoming Big West women’s basketball season. Get detailed analysis of all 11 Big West teams, highlighting the top players and storylines to watch in the coming year. 

Krista Blunk has covered a variety of sports, but her broadcast career started in Indiana, where the played basketball at the University of Evansville. After playing two seasons of professional basketball, Blunk moved west and served as an analyst for the WNBA’s Sacramento Monarchs for 13 seasons. She has been a sideline reporter with Westwood One Radio the past 10 seasons, covering the NCAA Women’s Basketball Final Four. Most recently, Blunk served as a play-by-play voice with NBC’s Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic coverage.  

Tammy Blackburn can oft be seen providing analysis for a wide variety of women’s collegiate sports across multiple networks. A two-year captain of the San Diego State women’s basketball team and four-year starting guard for the Aztecs, she got her broadcasting start at her alma mater as a member of the radio team. 

Big West Reporter Drew Jones sits down with returning Big West Player of the Year Cierra Hall from UC Davis to talk about the upcoming season and her goals both on and off the court in her final year as a collegian. 

The Big West Preseason Polls and Teams will be unveiled and Big West Commissioner Dan Butterly joins in to talk about his first year in The Big West and the conference’s bold move to the Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nev. For the 2022 Hercules Tires Big West Basketball Championships, presented by The Hawaiian Islands. 

The Big West Women’s Basketball Preview show premieres next Tuesday at noon PT, and will be available to watch on-demand on ESPN+ for 30 days.  

The season is slated to tip off on Nov. 9 with a full complement of non-conference games. Big West action is set to begin Dec. 30, and regular- and postseason contests are slated for telecast on the ESPN family of networks through the multi-year, multi-platform media rights agreement announced in July
