Underclassmen Trio Earns Women's Volleyball Weekly Acclaim

  • Sophomore outside hitter Riley Wagoner led Hawai'i to a pair of road wins over UC San Diego and UC Irvine, leading the Rainbow Wahine in kills for both matches.  

  • At UC San Diego, she posted her third career double-double with a career-high 20 kills on .314 hitting to go along with 15 digs and three blocks. 

  • At UC Irvine, her game-high 16 kills were complemented with eight digs, three assists and a block.

  • Cal Poly freshman libero Peyton Dueck compiled 30 digs in two sweeps over the weekend, bumping her per set average up to 4.28 on the year. 

  • Against UC Riverside, she scooped a team-high 16 digs, followed by a 14-dig performance against UC Davis. Dueck also added an ace from the service line in each match. 

  • Hailing from Aptos, Calif., Dueck has recorded double-digit dig matches in 15 of the Mustangs' 17 outings in 2021. Her 257 total digs on the year currently leads The Big West. 

  • This marks Dueck's second weekly award of the season.

  • Freshman libero Tayli Ikenaga paced the Hawai'i defense to a pair of victories to keep their unbeaten conference record intact. She compiled 35 total digs in the road trip, averaging 4.4 per set. 

  • The Honolulu native popped up a match-high 22 digs to go with an assist and service ace in Friday's 3-1 victory at UC San Diego. She followed it with a 15-dig performance at UC Irvine to round out the weekend. 

  • Ikenaga now has nine double-digit dig matches on the season.
